Parents,

I have had a few questions about some of the precautions we are going to take as we begin practices next week, so I wanted to provide more details about what measures we are taking to protect your child and our volunteers for this upcoming season.

          1. If your child is sick and/or has a fever, please keep them at home.

          2. In coordination with the YMCA, the bathroom facilities will be sanitized multiple times throughout the course of the day.

          3. In an effort to continue social distancing guidelines:
                    a. All bleachers for spectator seating will be unavailable. Please bring chairs with you to sit in for practices and games and be                                    mindful of social distancing guidelines when you sit down.
                    b. All dugouts will be extended to allow plenty of space for the team to have to spread out.
                    c. All the picnic tables located underneath the pavilion (near the concession stand) will not be available to use.

          4. During the pre-game Little League code, the team will be spread out down the 1st and 3rd base baselines.

          5. Players and coaches will be instructed to utilize “air fives”, “glove fives”, and “air fist bumps” to minimize the amount of physical                            contact, this will include the post-game handshake.

          6. Players will be encouraged not to share equipment as it pertains to batting helmets and catcher’s gear.

          7. Players and coaches will be instructed not to drink out of the same bottle or cooler.  Each player is encouraged to bring their own                        drink to practice.

Again, thank you for your patience as we navigate this time together. We appreciate your continued support of GALL. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me via e-mail, [email protected]. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Adam Weyer
