Manager Selection

• The GALL board will select team managers for each age division based on the number of teams in each age division with one manager per team

Core Players

• Each manager is permitted to choose two core players prior to the league draft
• Managers must choose their child as one of their core players
• Players selected as core must be disclosed to the player agent before the draft
• Player's parent must approve being selected as a core player before the draft
• No provision outside of the core player method exists to guarantee a player a spot on a particular team.
• Core players are selected by the manager during their turn in the draft, but do not have to be selected if higher skilled players are available in the draft
  Example: Manager A selects a core player rated as a 1 (highest skill).  That core player must be selected with his first pick.  If Manager B selects a core player with a rating of 3, that core player does not have to be selected until all players rated as 1 or 2 have been selected before he must select his core player.  Manager B cannot select any player rated as 3, 4 or 5 until they have selected their core player.
• Any core player who does not participate in an evaluation will be assigned a rating of 1

Pre-Draft Evaluation Process

• All players, including core players, will participate in an evaluation.
• The evaluation will be conducted for each age division with independent evaluators consisting of board members or other individuals who meet the following criteria:

1. Have no child playing in the division he/she is evaluating and
2. Is not managing or coaching a team in the age division he/she is evaluating.

• All players will be evaluated on various baseball skills and given an overall rating from 1-5 with 1 being the highest rating.
• Managers for each age division will be able to view the evaluation and make notes but will not assign ratings.
• Player evaluations will not be shared with anyone outside of GALL board and appropriate team managers and coaches.

Draft Process

• Draft order will be determined by a random drawing and will follow a snake draft format (The team with first pick in round 1 will be the last pick in round 2, etc.)

• All managers will have the ratings for each player in their age division to assist with selecting his team

• Aside from the special rules for core players, managers may select players in any order
• Players who do not participate in an evaluation will not be part of the draft pool and will instead be assigned to a team based on a blind drawing after all evaluated players are selected.
• Players' draft positions will not be made known outside of the GALL board, managers, and coaches in attendance to the draft.
